🏠 Facility Overview

The Workshop offers a versatile space suitable for various events:

  • Main Facility: Includes lounge seating, self-serve coffee bar, folding tables (8 available), chairs (40 available), TV & projectors, PA & microphone system, and a play area for children.​

  • Classroom: Equipped with tables & chairs for up to 15 students, large whiteboard, pull-down maps, mounted TV with HDMI cable, and basic classroom supplies.​

  • Art Studio: Features tables & chairs for up to 20 students, large whiteboard, mounted smart TV with HDMI cable, basic classroom supplies, and basic art supplies.​

📝 Booking Process

  1. Inquiry: Contact us via email at leeanna@theworkshopanchorage.com.

  2. Fill out our online application: https://form.jotform.com/232757650556161

  3. Application: Complete the rental application form provided upon inquiry.​

  4. Confirmation: Upon approval, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking.​

  5. Final Payment: The remaining balance is due no later than the day of the event.

What qualifies for a public rental?

  • Community-wide celebrations and parties where everyone is welcome.

  • Educational events that are open to the community.

  • Events that promote the arts, i.e. Galleries, Open Mics, Poetry Slams, etc.

  • Artist & Creatives Gatherings, Open & Advertised to The Public

  • Educational Pop-Ups Open to the Public (during open hours)

    *We reserve the right to deny any event request.

What qualifies for a private rental?*

  • Birthday Parties

  • Baby Showers & Gender Reveal Parties

  • Wedding Showers & Engagement Parties

  • Employee or Volunteer Appreciation Events

  • Recitals or Rehearsals for a Private Group

  • Artist & Creatives Gatherings for Private Groups

  • Educational Classes or Workshops

  • Self-Improvement Groups, including AA & NA meetings, Bible studies, etc.

  • Support Groups for Community Members

    *We reserve the right to deny any event request.

What is NOT Allowed

  • No alcohol or other intoxicating substances

  • No damaging decorations (i.e. nails in walls)

  • No profane music (some sounds travel next door to Aurora Kids, so please keep it clean.)

  • No use of our disposable art supplies (i.e. paper, googly eyes, etc.)

What is Allowed

  • Outside food & drinks (BYO food!)

  • Decorations (non-damaging)

  • Use of our bluetooth speakers & music tablet device

  • Use our reusable craft supplies (i.e. scissors, paint brushes, etc.)

Private Events: Birthday Parties & Personal Celebrations

  • Base Price: $75/hour (minimum of 2 hours)

  • Deposit: 50% non-refundable deposit required at booking​

  • Note: No alcohol permitted​

Corporate Events: Parties, Recitals, & Fundraisers

  • Base Price:

    • For-Profit: $100/hour (minimum of 2 hours)

    • Non-Profit: $50/hour (minimum of 2 hours)​

  • Deposit: 50% non-refundable deposit required at booking​

  • Amenities: Lounge seating, self-serve coffee bar, folding tables, chairs, TV & projectors, PA & microphone system, play area for children, and electric piano for recitals.​

  • Insurance: Event insurance required for corporate events​

  • Note: No alcohol permitted​

    Public Events: Community Programming

  • Base Price:

    • For-Profit: $100/hour (minimum of 2 hours)

    • Non-Profit: $50/hour (minimum of 2 hours)​

  • Discounts: Reduced or free rental considered for free public events; please note this in your application.​

  • Additional Rooms: $20/hour per room (subject to availability)​

  • Deposit: 50% non-refundable deposit required at booking​

  • Note: No alcohol permitted​

Classroom & Art Room Rentals:

  • Classroom:

    • One-Time Rental: $30/hour

    • Series Rental (1x month or more): $21/hour or 10% of income from class/workshop​

  • Art Studio:

    • One-Time Rental: $35/hour

    • Series Rental (1x month or more): $25/hour or 10% of income from class/workshop​

  • Non-Profit Discount: 15% off rental pricing with 501(c)(3) status​

Rental Policies

  • Eligibility: Rentals must align with our non-discrimination policy. We do not rent to individuals or organizations affiliated with specific political parties or those intending to promote or oppose political candidates or legislation considered divisive or controversial.​

  • Substance Policy: No alcohol, tobacco, vaping, or illicit substances permitted on the premises.​

  • Cleaning: Renters are responsible for cleaning and returning the space to its original condition. A cleaning checklist is provided.​

  • Cleaning Fees: Main Facility: $100 if cleaning is incomplete
    Classroom/Art Room: $50 if cleaning is incomplete

  • Deposit: 50% non-refundable deposit required at booking​

  • Payment: Remaining balance due no later than the day of the event​

  • Time Management: Rental time includes setup and cleanup. Additional charges apply for exceeding reserved time.​

  • Supervision: Children must be supervised at all times.​

  • Damages: Any damage to the facility or its contents may result in additional fees.​

  • WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE RENTAL SERVICE TO ANYONE FOR ANY REASON AND WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO NOT EXTERNALLY DISCLOSE INFORMATION ABOUT WHY A RENTAL REQUEST MAY BE REJECTED. 

📜 Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations with more than 48 hours' notice: No additional rental fees will be charged. However, the 50% deposit remains non-refundable.

  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice: The full rental fee must be paid. Any remaining balance must be paid within 3 business days of the scheduled event date.
